The Golden Child
This story tells about more excitement and fun, where the story began by the abduction of a Tibetan boy, the mysterious golden child, by evil Sardo Nomska. It seems that this process will be a disaster for the fate of humanity. In the end, it seems that private detective Chandler Jarrell, a specialist in missing children, will be on the job of finding him before there is something dangerous and things get worse.

A mixed bag of occult mayhem that I liking as a kid.

Yet another in a long string of Murphy abominations.

Maybe being typecast as Axel Foley was a good idea
May 27, 2003
An uneven and staid mystical bore that miscasts Murphy something fierce. There's nothing Golden about this neglected Child.
August 25, 2004
Not even Eddie Murphy's normal bag of tricks and tics can save this contrived and unconvincing film from self-destructing.
May 30, 2003
Eddie Murphy begins to dabble in "kiddy-land."

His posse told him he was god-like.
January 01, 2000
This film -- insignificant and lightweight and monumentally silly -- is entertaining from beginning to end.
February 09, 2003
An extremely amusing film from back when Murphy was still funny; it's been unfortunately mostly forgotten these days.
February 23, 2008
Mediocre Eddie Murphy comedy looks very dated now.
December 10, 2003
Indefensible rubbish with occasional flashes of invention and Victor Wong.
January 01, 2000
A half-baked comedy without a heart.
