Singer Daniel Anthony Hutton was born on September 10, 1942 in Buncrana, County Donegal, Ireland. He moved to America when he was a little boy. Hutton worked at the warehouse for Disney/Buena Vista Records in California. Danny did voice-overs for various cartoons and recorded several singles for both the MGM and Hanna Barbera Records labels in the mid 60s. He also auditioned to be a member of the Monkees, but didn't make the cut. Hutton's charming song "Roses and Rainbows" was a substantial local radio hit in Southern California. In 1968 Danny became a founding member of the enormously popular 70s rock group Three Dog Night; he remained with the band until they broke up in 1977. Moreover, Hutton sang vocals with the power trio BBA on their self-titled 1973 debut album. Following the break up of Three Dog Night Danny worked as a manager for such Los Angeles punk bands as Fear and fronted the group the Danny Hutton Hitters (their cover of the Nit Kershaw song "Wouldn't It Be Good" was featured on the soundtrack to the hit comedy "Pretty in Pink"). In the mid 80s Hutton reed Three Dog Night and continues to be a member of the band to this very day. Hide
